In this thesis, we evaluate the feasibility of verifying the effect of gravity on the quantum entanglement by simulating gravity’s effects with other physical systems. Specifically, we work in the framework of the Event Formalism, a non-standard theory about gravitational decoherence. We consider simulating gravity with acceleration as well as refractive materials. We find that these scenarios can not simulate the effect of gravity on entanglement as imagined by the Event Formalism.en
