Abstract

The phenol biodegradation and microbial growth kinetics of suspended cultures of the psychotrophic microorganism P. puttda Q5 were modeled as a function of temperature in the range of 10 to 25*C. The Haldane parameter K decreased with decreasing temperature, indicating the inhibition effect was stronger The Luong model was found to better fit the kinetics of unacclimated cultures.
