dc.description.abstractWe present Falcon, network-integrated scheduler for micro-scale services. Falcon follows a centralized scheduler design to achieve high scheduling efficiency and leverages modern programmable switches to lower the scheduling latency and increase the scheduling throughput. Falcon supports multiple scheduling policies such as FIFO, and data locality aware policies. Our empirical evaluation shows that Falcon reduces scheduling latency by 120 times and increases the scheduling throughput by 100 times compared to state-of-the-art schedulers.en
